Ever wonder why some people seem to just attract success while others struggle? Well, there are no coincidences here. It all comes down to a person’s daily habits. Habits are formed early, and as we grow older at different stages of life. These habits can be formed from different people in our lives, experiences, and culture. Habits are easy to develop, but hard to change once they are formed. This is exactly why so few people succeed. It is I much harder to change your habits for the better from the old ill-formed ones. Forming new habits takes patience and persistence to replace the old. Most people will try for a little bit, and then slowly slip back into their old ways. Habits take time to form and need a firm hand to keep it on track until it’s like a reflex you don’t think about.
1. Try to read self-education books every day. This can be a self-help book or some sort of biography on a famous figure. Successful people are constantly in a state of learning and expanding their knowledge. They want to better their lives and learn from others. This constant state of learning creates an open mindset in which the brain can intake more positive habits.
2. Exercise for 30mins every day. Exercise is not only good for the body but the brain as well. Getting into a routine to do 30mins of cardio everyday will help your overall brain function through the day. It creates clarity and focus before your day has even begun. There’s also an added bonus of chemicals called endorphins that are released when you exercise that make you feel euphoric and feeling great!
3. Avoid the noise. By this I mean avoid things that are distracting you from your goals of the day. Many people whether they like to admit it or not, are addicted to their phones. A good habit to get into is to limit the amount of times you are checking your phone throughout the day. Also turning off all the alerts on your phone can help too. The endless apps, emails, and games are all bad habits that eat our time up. It’s good to get into a new set habits when it comes to all of your electronics.
4. Get your 7 hours or more of sleep every night. It seems like this wouldn’t affect very much in your day-to-day life, but this ONE habit can really set the tone for all of your other successful habits. When we get the proper amount of sleep every night, this allows our brain to heal damaged pathways, and regenerates new pathways. These pathways are making new memories and remembering new skills we have learned in days passed. Sleep helps you with your day to day routines.
If you can integrate several of these new habits into your daily life, you’ll start seeing a shift in your life. Like with every new habit, you’ll need to practice and stay persistent in creating these new habits.
